Hunting and fishing
The surroundings of the municipality provides those who love hunting and fishing with various opportunities. The river of Tamiš and lakes in Debeljača are the right choice for avid fishermen while the spacious area around towns and villages is rich with small wild animals and joint hunting is regularly organized. All hunting associations in the municipality participate in hunting season as well as hunters from other places.
Hunting in a plain always has one goal, that is, it is about only one type of animal: rabbit, pheasant, fox or wild boar. Almost every town in Vojvodina has its own hunting association. During the season, hunting is organized and arranged several times in different places. No matter how much they catch, the hunters have a joint meeting with music over lunch or dinner as a true celebration.
Lakes of Debeljača
The lakes of Debeljača have been a place for commercial fishing and recreation since 2000. There are several types of fish in it: carp, pike, babushkas, perch, grass carp and catfish.
Such choice is attractive to those who do fishing as a hobby and to those who are professional contestants in our country and abroad.
All rivers in Vojvodina hence Tamiš, too, is full of carp, catfish, white fish, pike and perch, and people usually go fishing for these types of fish. The area close to Idvor is an ideal spot for fishermen no matter if they want to fish in a part suitable for that or if they want to do it in water. There are no rules about where certain fish can be found but the fishing season for a certain type of fish is well known. The season of carp starts on June 1st and ends on March 30th, catfish season on June 16th and ends on May 30th, and pike season starts on April 1st and it ends on September 30th.
